ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Marianne holds the following professional qualifications:
Marianne Richards MSc. became an author in 2000, commissioned by ethical publisher, Straightforward /Emerald Publishing, who commissioned several of her works, latest being, 'Beating the Bully: Recognising, Reporting, Empowering.' Marianne set up 'IW4U' in 2016 as an online campaign, after 18 years battling for justice as an NHS whistleblower (see other tab). Now retired from the NHS, she studies, writes, gardens and explores her autistic self (diagnosed age 54 with Asperger Syndrome).
"After a 20+ years career in adult mental health, my career was butchered after whistle-blowing gross professional misconduct at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust (AWP, Swindon. The devastating losses that followed took 18 years to recover, part of that journey being my becoming an ardent campaigner. I have given evidence to several Government committees, as well as the tail-end of a new Inquiry into shoddy treatment of whistleblowers, post Sir Robert Francis' Whistleblower-Law updates. I am enjoying a change of writing direction, freed from the constraints of working as an NHS Counsellor, and finding new ways of expressing my ideas, opinions and beliefs in a range of genres."
