"Justice is a kind of endless passing of torches, an unfinished march that started long ago that each generation joins and continues in its own way. Or doesn't."
'Right Thing, Right Now,' Ryan Holiday (modern Stoic philosopher)
'Justice means much more than the sort of thing that goes on in law courts. It is the old name for everything we should now call 'fairness'; it includes honesty, give and take, truthfulness, keeping promises, and all that side of life.'

Latest Update - Conclusions
Nearly 17 YEARS after losing my career for whistle-blowing, I've yet to see evidence that Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust (AWP) Board understand what 'Justice' means - using bully-boy legal teams to evade responsibility to whistleblowers (four, including myself).
Since 2007, thanks to naive, disbelieving HR seniors (Andrew Mitchell, Gwyneth Knight) I've undertaken my own investigations. Successive CE's failed to deal with protagonist Dr 'Liz' Howells and sycophant Barbara Stapleton, who for over 10 years mismanaged and led a clique-written department, where scholars like myself were derided whilst incompetents who supported them were promoted. After enduring life-changing losses, leading to break-down and a suicide attempt, I fought back. But rather than understanding and thanks, I was treated shamefully - a prolonged, vindictive revenge-attack by the afore-mentioned, spoiling my experience of University, but thankfully not preventing my earning a Masters Degree. I am proud of writing several books on the back of this, also providing useful intelligence to several Standing Committees and two Inquiries about treatment of whistleblowers.
During these harrowing experiences, and for the past two decades, I uncovered hidden or misrepresented documents, conflicting 'witness' statements and a trail of false loyalty. The Board are shamed by 3 faked internal 'investigations' - including that of FTSUG Liz Bessant, who was clearly 'out of her depth'. Successive CE's from Iaian Tulley, Hayley Richards to Dominic Hardisty ignored four whistleblowers (including their own paralegal). It was not until I sent my Report to Standing Committees and two Inquiries (into whistleblower treatment), I gained vindication (also praise for my investigative work).
I'm proud of the difference I made. This replaced the PhD and research career of which I was cheated by the Protagonist. She failed to come forward; ashamed, triumphant, belligerent? We'll never know. If HR had acted instead of panicking and 'investigators' not closed ranks! Yet overall I'm glad I did the right thing. I hold up my head, as AWP stonewall me in shame.
At University, I discovered research on Governance ideas for the American NHS; clinician-led small teams instead of distant management. Stapleton 'reported' me over this, accusing me of 'continually criticizing AwP.' Ten years later, the NHS came to similar conclusions as their US cousins. Bully cultures are replete with favoured, incompetent staff crushing innovation. It is telling that of candidates put forward by the protagonist, I was the one to graduate - a high pass. They destroyed my career with vile falsehoods emanating from the protagonist (who assumed the role of victim). For being honest, I lost everything; my home, even my sanity. I spent years recovering, determined not to give in. See the video below - my first year at Uni (shortly before my autism diagnosis) - does this resemble someone who (according to the protagonist) 'refused training and supervision.' ??? I rest my case.
I am not the only whistle-blower left in a parlous state because of uncaring employers. I hope the Badenoch Inquiry (December) leads to an independent system for whistle-blowers, with its own legal experts and compensation system. NHS England, CQC, Tribunals are closely allied with senior NHS management (and their bully legal teams). That AWP ignored FOUR WHISTLEBLOWERS, including a para-legal, should not be possible. Whilst there is fear of reprisal, clinicians will not come forward. The NHS is a parallel to the Post Office scandal:
1. senior Executives fail to act, then panic, misrepresent / cover-up evidence
2. Director collusion with rogue colleagues, instead of upholding integrity, decency and honesty
3. naive HR ignoring bully cultures, with 'sacred cows /bulls' {powerful, long-standing senior staff}
4. incompetent/lazy CE's accepting fake investigations where Reports are suspiciously never filed
5. toxic public institutions like CQC incapable of policing themselves
6. NHS Trusts who commission legal teams to silence victims/whistleblowers and avoid responsibility
7. legal funding must be removed from NHS Trusts to prevent 6.
My experience is validated. I feel exonerated from years of scapegoating laid on me by AWP. Though it's unlikely the protagonist will be brought to Justice or even apologise, I want fair compensation by way of closure. AWP's bully-boy legal team (Bevan Brittan LLP) threatened me with financial ruin in order to silence me, no doubt on the orders of lying investigator, Christopher Stancliffe. I no longer fear empty threats. I await the day when the Board awakens and does its duty. That I never gave in to the Protagonist is a badge of pride. I urge other whistle-blowers to do the same. Together we ARE making a difference.
Reports
My Reports, 'Evil Psychologist in a Culture of Denial' and 'Deceit, Collusion and Jobsworths' are on sale at Amazon. Researchers can access my evidence by prior arrangement. The books do not contain the evidence to reduce cost of publication & preserve conficentiality.
What the Labour Government Need to Do
There are £MILLIONS to be saved by disbanding rogue investigatory bodies - with savings used to fairly compensate whistle-blowers & set up an independent system with its own legal experts. There must be ONE system with settlement, instead of distressing, interminable Tribunals, where employer legal teams win out. Tribunals enrich legal professionals with NHS funding, whilst NHS Trusts hive off their duty to resolve complaints internally. This is why the new body must have its own legal team.
