Meghan Markle is right about learning to listen. Some days I despair of Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Trust [AWP] doing the same.
A senior Psychologist admitted, in writing, breaching the Equality Act, 2010 [formerly the Disability Act], yet the Board refuse to acknowledge my evidence - evidence I received recently. I have suffered eleven years because I was never rightfully compensated for my losses, after being maltreated as a disabled person at Lift Stress Management, Swindon.
Why do they stonewall me? Head of Psychology, Bill Jerrom, passed malicious hearsay, seduced to do so by a rogue colleague. His remarks 'Chinese Whispered' to CE, Iaian Tulley, who likewise passed them on. Two individuals who acted unprofessionally - but the only person to suffer is me.
AWP are dogged by a poor reputation in patient care. Staff are ill treated too - my story beggars belief. I want to change things. But change cannot happen until AWP Board stump up and LISTEN.
Thank you Megan. You remind organisations of their duty not only to state values, but abide by them. The injustice remains until AWP, lead by Hayley Richards, do the right thing.
Marianne's guides to mental illness received professional acclaim. Two new works are now on sale, 'Finding Time' & 'Beating the Bully.'
